Our traditional week long Ways of the Wild day camp designed for children ages 7-12 years of age, just more adventure. Children will experience our newest camp, Wild Wanderers, where the main priorities are adventure and exploration! During these 3 days, children will do daily excursions, where we will pack daypacks and explore deeper into the Forest and around the River. This daily nomadic mindset, will allow more time for children to sink into Nature without the hassle of checking back into the main camp. We will wander to our heart’s desire and allow Nature to show us her way of slowing down and syncing to her rhythm. Games and activities planned to enhance children’s experience and learning, water play for cooling off, as well as journaling and philosophical discussion to open minds and hearts to the serenity of Nature. Skills taught during this camp will be: navigation, tracking, shelter construction, wildlife awareness, Leave No Trace principles, wild edibles, gear packing, trail safety, campsite selection, and practical survival techniques. Children will enhance life skills such as resilience, independence, teamwork, problem solving, planning, self confidence, mental toughness, and fostering an appreciation for Nature.

Our Coyote Teachers are naturally gifted and specially trained leaders. We base our trainings on the teachings of Grandfather Stalking Wolf, an Apache Elder. For more info on Coyote Teachers click here.
